Run Puppy Puppy!!!

Last October Iowagirl got herself this adorable Puggle.

Meet Jacinda.

My next door neighbor also has a Puggle, Desi, and so last month when Iowagirl was here with Jacinda, my neighbor came over with some doggie apparel Desi had outgrown. Here's Jacinda in some fashionable, yet functional winter gear. See the scarf she has on? Crazy what they come up with for dogs these days!!!




Last night after work, Iowagirl and I went for a run together and she decided to bring Jacinda along for our run. This little pup did a great job running alongside us and according to Iowagirl, this was Jacinda's first time out on a real run. We were hanging out in my living room afterwards when I looked over and saw this:


This pup is waaaaaaay too cute!

Christmas Festivities

I know this is probably a few weeks late but I figured I'd post a few pictures taken over the Christmas holidays. The following pictures were taken, yet again, at my place, along with Irishgirl and our ex-roommates, PAgirl and Iowagirl. You may notice the adorable puggle Iowagirl is holding in her arms. Her name is Jacinda.

So I cooked our evening meal, which was enjoyed by all, and later opened presents given by PA girl. Of course, we see Irishgirl imbibing on her glass of wine. The dork.

Iowagirl, who is our resident "bartender" brought some lovely liquor so she could make some nice Christmas drinks and martinis. Our lovely "bar" stand is looking a little ghetto, huh?

Iowagir shakin' it up. She made some fabulous concoctions that evening. And no, there wasn't a repeat of the Yellow Tail incident, we were VERY good. :D

Squeak Boy

So it's 1:30 AM and while I should be fast asleep by now, I'm not. Instead I'm sitting here in my living room, somewhat traumatized by the activity that took place in the bedroom above from mine. I live in a three level house which is split into two apartments. As mentioned before, I lived in the upstairs apartment for about 5 years with three other roommates prior to moving to the downstairs apartment this past summer. When we moved out of the upstairs apartment, three new guys moved in. One of whom now resides in my old bedroom, which is directly above my new bedroom. Get the picture? This guy is seriously a piece of work, clunking around and dropping who knows what on the floor at 2 AM, of course, waking me up. Oh, and you know what tops this all off? His squeaky bed. Yup, this guy has a VERY squeaky bed. And tonight, there were some abnormally sounding squeakage taking place up there. He was by himself.

By this point, I was so fed up that I stated out loud, "YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME". The squeaking stopped.

I seriously need to invest in a pair of good ear plugs.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Alright, now that's out of the way...

I know it's been a while since I've posted. Call me the resident lazy-ass blogger of bloggerland. It's late and I really should be fast asleep since I need to get up in about 5 hours to go to the gym. Yep, it's one of those yearly resolutions where I have this silly notion to once again become one of those faithful gym rats. The holidays saw me indulging on some delectable fare, along with imbibing on wine and the latest drink of the week, pomegranate martinis. The pants are feeling a little too snug and so it's off to the gym I go. My pal, Iowagirl, and I, have decided to train for the Broad Street Run, which is a 10 mile race along Philadelphia's Broad Street. I may even create another blog to record my training on that, leading up to race day. Ah, we'll see.
I would post pictures from this holiday's festivities, however it's late and that would probably take me to almost 1 AM. I will however, post our Christmas Tree, or as my good friend SeminaryBoy calls it, "Christmas Bush".
